  1. When a multiplayer client exits the game it leaves a tiny version of their terrain tool floating in mid-air where they were when they exited. From what I can tell this persists through saving and loading. Repro: Launch one client through Steam Load saved game on that client On the other client bring up the Steam friends list and choose "Join Friend" Press ESC on the client and choose "Quit to desktop" Re-join the game the same way as the client Go to the location where you were when you exited Result: There's a tiny terrain tool there. Apparently when you exit the game it leaves that terrain tool there floating in mid-air. Forever. Steam version 0.2.115.0 on both clients Windows 10 x64 on both clients Mouse and keyboard on both clients
  2. I don't have a good repro for this one but I had several times where as a client I would see veins of materials re-appear from places that I had previously mined. The hole that I'd made in the terrain was still there and the materials were hanging in mid-air. Often times filling the hole would trigger the material dissolving animation. However when I mined them a second time I didn't actually get any materials. They would dissolve and fly towards me but nothing else would happen.
  3. The host and the client see completely different things when landing on a planet. The host sees a fairly normal landing. The client sees a normal landing, gets warped back out into space, the planet vanishes, and then suddenly the planet re-appears with the landing craft on it. Repro: Launch one client through Steam Load saved game on that client On the other client bring up the Steam friends list and choose "Join Friend" Put both players on a space craft Travel to another planet Watch the landing on both screens Steam version 0.2.115.0 on both clients Windows 10 x64 on both clients Mouse and keyboard on both clients Both clients are on the same LAN (e.g. should be relatively low latency.)
  4. When the trade depot returns it's invisible to the client. The host can see it and interact with it but the client can't. Items removed from the trade depot by the host will suddenly appear for the client. Repro: Launch one client through Steam Load saved game on that client On the other client bring up the Steam friends list and choose "Join Friend" Create a trade depot (did this with the client - doubt it matters) Add items to trade (again from the client - again doubt it matters) Initiate the trade Wait Result: The host sees the results of the trade appear, the client never does Steam version 0.2.115.0 on both clients Windows 10 x64 on both clients Mouse and keyboard on both clients Both clients are on the same LAN (e.g. should be relatively low latency.)
  5. If a client in a multiplayer match mines more items than they can fit on their backpack it drops those items on the ground. At that point the client can't ever pick those items back up unless the host first picks them up. Repro: Launch one client through Steam Load saved game on that client On the other client bring up the Steam friends list and choose "Join Friend" Fill the backpack of the client so that it only has one or two slots open Mine a large set of resources until you overfill the backpack and resources are placed on the ground instead of in the backpack Try to select any of the resources on the ground Result: Anything that gets dropped cannot be picked up or interacted with. The client sees the items but can't interact with them. However if the host picks the item up the client can then pick it up. Steam version 0.2.115.0 on both clients Windows 10 x64 on both clients Mouse and keyboard on both clients Both clients are on the same LAN (e.g. should be relatively low latency.)
  6. Objects that appear normal on the host machine show up in the sky for the client. They're still in the same position relative to each other, they just have some really large offsets. For example any tether that's placed will vanish and the tether line will suddenly extend off into the sky or under the ground. You can see in the picture the vegetation that's floating in space. That's also several level 2 platforms out there. Any time the client would create a level 2 platform off of the habitat it would immediately vanish. The host showed quite a bit of vegetation around the habitat where the client just had bare ground. Note that this never happened on the home planet. It didn't even happen on the second planet we visited (Exotic.) It was the third planet (Irradiated) and each planet after that (Arrid and Tundra) where we saw this happening. Repro: Launch one client through Steam Load saved game on that client On the other client bring up the Steam friends list and choose "Join Friend" Have the host create a space ship Add a three seat pod to the space ship Add a storage unit to the back of the space ship and add items to it Have both the host and the client enter the space ship and go to another planet - potentially this requires visiting multiple planets, not sure Exit the space ship with both the host and the client Try to place a tether with the client Result: The client will see different items than the host (in one case completely different terrian - terrain was missing on the client that was present on the host) and placing items will actually place them up in the sky. The host can interact with the objects where the client can't. I could hand items to the host and they could put them on the platforms coming out of the habitat. As soon as they put them on the objects vanished. When they took them off again they'd re-appear. Steam version 0.2.115.0 on both clients Windows 10 x64 on both clients Mouse and keyboard on both clients Both clients are on the same LAN (e.g. should be relatively low latency.)
  7. The habitat (and several other large items) can only be placed or moved by the player that originally placed them. The other player can see them but does not have the ability to interact with them. Once the player that placed the item moves it (e.g. places the habitat on the ground) the other player can activate it - but they still can't pick it up. Repro: Launch one client through Steam Load saved game on that client On the other client bring up the Steam friends list and choose "Join Friend" Have the host create a vehicle (tested with a truck and space ship) Add a storage unit to the back of the vehicle Have the host create a habitat and place it on the vehicle Have the client attempt to remove the habitat from the vehicle Steam version 0.2.115.0 on both clients Windows 10 x64 on both clients Mouse and keyboard on both clients Both clients are on the same LAN (e.g. should be relatively low latency.)
