  1. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Vehicle stuck in uneven ground after print Description: When a vehicle bay is set up on uneven ground, specifically the ground in-front of it is slightly higher, it can trap vehicles. I specifically saw a medium rover become immovable (albeit digging it out worked just fine). I'd consider this a fault of the vehicle bay which should probably flatten the ground in-front of it before printing anything (same with other printers). Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  2. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Planet cut in half/quarters Description: Tundra appears to be in half/quarters and positioned oddly. Happened after loading in from a save. I hadn't noticed it before exiting. Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  3. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Surface objects spawning where no ground exists Description: After digging out a load of terrain, specifically taking down a hill or cave wall, the terrain objects like the little square blocks re-spawn after saving, exiting, and loading the save. The blocks specifically spawn as if the wall were still there (i.e. floating in the air). Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  4. Seems to be happening on the habitat as well. Not really sure what's causing it to be honest. Seems to be quick flicking into the backpack sometimes triggers it but specifically what I don't know.
  5. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Arrow buttons on module control panels not completely clickable Description: When operating a module the button half of the blue buttons isn't clickable. Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  6. I've just noticed a similar thing happens with items in the backpack. Specifically I was trying to click ammonium and pretty much the top of the ammonium is selectable but towards the bottom, still hovering over it, it's not selectable.
  7. I've found this isn't restricted to arrow buttons. The toggle-able safe switch to, for example, begin a print or start researching and the underlying button suffer from the same issue.
  8. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Drag-n-drop stops working Description: Something, I'm yet to figure out what, causes me to not be able to select items and drag them around; pretty much anything that's draggable. I noticed this happening before 0.10.5 and the release notes suggested it was fixed. The only way I get drag-n-drop back is by exiting to menu and entering the game save again. Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 / 3286372 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  9. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Resource falls through ground when being dragged Description: When resources are lying in some crater (say after you've dug out too much and it falls in) and you try to drag and drop next to you it typically clips through the terrain (which makes sense). If you drop before it's fully above the terrain it sinks through. I'm yet to successfully locate it again so I don't know if it falls into the first cave or just straight through he planet. Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 / 3286372 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  10. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Crackling sounds during storm Description: Speakers start crackling as a storm passes over. It seems to happen when I'm underground but I'm fairly confident it happened on the surface as well. Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  11. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Platform modules don't respect edited terrain model Description: Platforms sometimes fall through terrain that has been flattened, other times the feet might fall through only. It's as if the terrain graphics and underlying terrain model don't match up. Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  12. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Alignment augment mod doesn't flatten ceilings Description: Attempting to flatten ceilings with the alignment mod doesn't work. The mod assumes you're trying to flatten a wall and so flicks to vertical alignment. It's worth noting this sometimes happens with floor alignment albeit less frequently. As a suggestion, forgive me if this is intended, check if the angle of the terrain tool is within 45d of horizontal alignment and assume that. Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  13. Summary: 0.10.5 - Steam Play - Reduced frame rate with "underground base" Description: I had a "base" above ground extending modules away from the habitat before the update and didn't notice any frame rate issues. I moved all the kit into a big whole in the ground ("underground base") and laid everything out before going afk. On laying everything out I didn't notice any frame rate drop. Today, I've returned to the game and had the 0.10.5 update applied and I'm experiencing an average of 14 FPS when in the "underground base". Above ground I'm getting around 24 FPS (which I'm still surprised at). Platform: Steam Play Version / Build Number: 0.10.5 Specifications: OS: Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) CPU: Intel i7-3770 GPU: GeForce GTX 970 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Drive: 2TB SATA Drive
  14. Hello Are there any plans to integrate a Steam purcahsed version of the game with Xbox players. Or perhaps a better question: are there any plans to allow Steam users to move over to Windows 10 Store version to solve the problem? Having purchased the game before MP was even available it's a little annoying, and arguably unfair, that the feature isn't available for Steam users. Thanks, Chris
  15. I mean't cross-play. Poor choice of words! Can you elaborate on why it would be possible with dedicated servers? Thanks
  16. A bit of a discussion topic/looking for answer from SES as to why there's no capability to delete saved in-game in a pre-alpha. Surely with pre-alpha, knowing its going to have bugs, deleting saves is relatively important as it wouldn't be unrealistic to find yourself stuck due to a bug and needing to start again. Why is there no in-game save delete capability?
  17. Have you submitted a bug report, attached any crash reports you have etc? Worth doing because that is a critical bug - assuming its not your system conflicting in some way of course.
  18. Assuming the game makes it to release. The biggest let-down of pre-alpha games is their high risk of failure yet you already paid :(. No matter how much devs say "we're committed" if their budget runs out, it runs out.
  19. Thanks! I hadn't thought to look in AppData. Albeit I feel they shouldn't be saved here; especially for a pre-alpha. As for bugs not being fixed fast enough - sounds like a load of people talking about a process they don't understand. Thinking you should apply patches every 48 hours (excluding security patches) is just silly. A "critical" bug would be one that prevents the game from running or presents a serious security problem and would likely see a patch in under 48 hours. However, the game functions so there is no "critical" patch required. There are going to be hundreds of "major" bugs in a pre-alpha and when you purchase the game you should do so with that in mind and accept the game won't function as expected at times. The idea behind my OP was to try and stir enough "signatures" for SES to accept deleting saves in a buggy application is quite important for the end user when they can no longer continue in a given save due to some bug. I hadn't intended on stirring rants from individuals that think they know a thing or two about how to release software without knowing what process SES follow, what QA standards they have to adhere to, or any other contributing factors in the software development life cycle. Lots of love - another Software Engineer.
  20. Ooo cryptic. Just transfer resources from one place to another using an array of large storage with small storage attached to it on a spaceship (Y). It's not hard.

    Tethers shutoff

This happens on PC/Steam as well.
  22. Overview When attempting to build tethers, or anything requiring Compound, a bugged Compound keeps taking the resource slot. The bugged Compound appears to be only 1 "part" (Fig 1) in size as opposed to the full 30 or so "parts" that make up an entire Compound resource. I can't grab/move the bugged Compound (i.e. I can't replace the bugged one with a normal one). Fig. 2 shows a different object that requires a different resource and the bugged Compound in a normal slot. Environment PC/Steam Steps to reproduce Not full proof as I'm not entirely sure how it happened. Dug out Compound using the drill and stored it on the back of my truck. Took the Compound off the back and had it my inventory. Went to create tethers with no bugged Compound present. Accidentally grabbed and removed Compound from the resource slot for building dropping it on the floor. Picked up the Compound again and the bugged Compound appeared in backpack. Fig 1. Attempting to build Tethers with bugged compound Fig 2. Building something else.
  23. Small update - it appears to only be when trying to use Compound as a material. I.e. only things requiring compound can't be built.
  24. When attempting to craft something on top of my spaceship you'll notice (in the image below) one of the mounting points is malformed and doesn't let me place anything in it. This has stopped me from building on my spaceship. I can't tell you how to reproduce it other than building a vehicle bay. I didn't do anything special.
