    How do I...?

How do I move my save game from my laptop to my PC? There's no steam cloud storage, so I'm assuming that I'd have to find the actual save file and move it physically on a flash drive or email, but I can't find anything relevant in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ASTRONEER Early Access folder.

Save file rename - please advise

Where are the save files located? I'd like to move my save game from the laptop to my main PC, but can't find the folder anywhere in the ASTRO files.

    Unable to complete tutorial

Whilst loading up the game for the first time in a long while, I decided that it'd be best to play the tutorial and learn the new features. All seemed to be going well until I got to the canisters section where the game then decided to not register any of the items I printed. No matter if I had made one or 10 (yes, I printed that many) canisters, the tooltip for PRINT A CANISTER FROM YOUR BACKPACK persisted, thus locking out some of the other tips from being completed. I decided to just start up a new game and skip the tutorial, but I wish I could complete the learning process before diving headlong into a fresh game. Has anyone else encountered this?

    No sound

Yea, did a clean reinstall including to delete the config files so it reset everything to default 100 but there's still nothing

    No sound

I was playing on my laptop a few hours ago and everything was working fine, but getting home to the PC I discover a lack of music and sound effects. I've checked my playback devices, steam launch preferences, unplugging peripherals and un/reinstalling the game plus verifying the game files. Other games and programs work just fine, internet and mp3s play through the speakers as they should, but the game is silent. Thoughts?

    Hydrazine

But if you make a small generator and gather organics as you travel it's not that difficult to keep up your power supply and for barren planets the large solar panels work just as well, too.

    Materials scanner augment

I hope something like this becomes a part of the full game, especially since selling hydrazine isn't possible anymore so instead we could more readily find better materials to use for building/trade

    *Nuclear Launch detected*

Now that hydrazine can chain-explode, you could fill a hole with some and set it off. Granted, you don't get a mushroom cloud, but you can make craters with the stuff

That sounds pretty cool as well! It would be fair because of the cost to make it, taking up a space, being single use, as well as the only temporary locations and medium range... it could be a well balanced and super useful object! Maybe making it out of titanium to keep it as a thing to be made once you reach the moon or other planets

    Materials scanner augment

An augment that allows the player to press a key or click a button similar to dynamite or the spaceship launch icon that would send out a pulse within a certain range, perhaps 50-200 meters. It would then temporarily indicate any resources' positions with an icon similar to when you point at a harvested nugget for around 10-20 seconds. This way players could find the more diverse deposits of things without needing to dig around blindly, but it wouldn't be overpowered by permanently showing where everything is in a huge area. To balance it out more, it could have a cooldown or recharge timer of 1-2 minutes. Of course all the values and ranges that I'm thinking of could be changed as the Devs see fit, but such a tool would be incredibly useful especially if it has to be unlocked like the other augments. I hope you folks find this as intriguing as I do, it'd be great to locate things that would otherwise stay hidden and buried!

    "153+154" - April 21, 2017

I also noticed that the base additions are doing that odd raising/digging thing that they were doing a few patches ago, was that code adjusted as well?

Damn, this just makes things way harder than they need to be. I mean, I'm all for letting people slowly build up their base and technology via exploring if that's how they want to do it, but limiting the players that want to build crazy things is a bit unfair. Especially since you trade at 1/2 value, essentially meaning that not only is there now a finite amount of materials that you can have per save game, but trading anything will cut that amount in half. The hydrazine was able to be created freely, meaning that you had endless materials if you spent time on it, but now the game is quite limited. All griping and groaning aside, the game does indeed run a bit better now. I would still like to see a way to turn down the brightness though, as whenever the game is up I feel blinded by the high-contrast worlds. Maybe add a 'helmet visor', basically hit a key and it auto-reduces brightness and contrast by 40-60% (assuming in game menus are still too tricky to code).

Feb. 9 - EXPERIMENTAL build updated, HELP NEEDED!

Edit didn't work; retrying: Experimental Specific(ES): Extra resources gathered (If backpack is full and a new nugget is mined/made) will fall off the end of the vacuum and fall through the ground. Happens roughly 60% of the time, regardless of clipping planes around the player. Player will periodically start the falling animation even when standing still or walking normally over terrain. Plants affected by dynamite can lose their gravity, ending up floating around above the ground and eventually into the sky. Not sure if ES: If something is attached to the front of the truck, like a research object, the player becomes trapped under it and/or the truck when exiting the seat. Perhaps move the exit location for the player to the side of the vehicle instead of directly in front? Brightness seems to have been raised, during the day base management can be bothersome due to being blinded or the blue/grey holograms of objects being overwhelmed in the light.

It's supposed to have more animation other than the new design and rotation? I didn't know that... in that case, it's missing from my game as well.
