    Extreme Suggestion

    Over discord's 2,000 character limit! JESUS! Also my chance of getting noticed is super low due to the amount of people suggesting already suggested things. Correct me if I'm wrong but I NEVER saw ANYONE talk about this suggestion. Feel free to lock this post and delete it if it was already suggested. Also, slap me in the face too! (Part 1/2) Guys I have an OVERLY complicated idea that is UNNEEDED but innovate if my opinion. Read on if you care...? **KEEP IN MIND THIS IDEA IS EXTREMELY ROUGH, AND DOESN'T MAKE SENSE IN SOME SCENARIOS, IT MAY ADD AN UNNECCESARY COMPLICATION IN THE GAME** Ok so my idea is that instead of having on or off states for oxygen, (has oxygen or not) there should be flow values like power. Setting the value 1.0 as the default minimum value of flow for a single Astroneer to survive. If your flow value is 0.5, this is HALF the amount that an Astroneer needs to survive, so he/she will lose oxygen! However, they will lose oxygen at only 0.5x the rate you would normally lose oxygen. Your starting habitat can support up to 3-4 people at any given time. This will give the ability to create oxygen splitters, to go along with power splitters. If you go lets say, 50 tethers out, you may need to place down an Oxygen Pump to keep the pressure, otherwise the flow values will slowly decrease. If you want to create a 100 tether long line to go down the mines, you need to place 2 oxygen pumps to keep the flow steady, as well as an optional power splitter at base. Each tether will draw 1.0x the oxygen flow by default, however you can either place an oxygen pump at the start to upgrade the capacity to 2.0x oxygen flow, or place down a splitter. **It's not perfect, but it's an idea none the less.** (Part 2/2) SCENARIO: If you have a 50 tether long runway to the mines, you need 1x pump to keep the flow steady, since the line is long. If you want to create another line that's separate running through the fields, lets say 25 tethers long, you wont need any pumps, due to the line being so short. If you and your friends are going to go to the mines, and you have 4 people running there, however the line, even with extra pumps, will only reach a max capacity of 3.0x. This is because the line running to the fields is already taking 1.0x of the 4.0x the oxygen of the main habitat module. You can place down either a splitter, to cut off the oxygen from the fields and direct it all to the mines, or just create an oxygen generator platform at a remote location. **Please help me refine, and create new concepts and improvements for this suggestion!**

    Thanks Skully and DevraDare, but as I simply did not know there was a podcast, I didn't know where to check. May I please have some sort of link to it? Lol, I REALLY need to start asking for links like this so I don't annoy and repost.
  6. Here are a few things that I feel should be in Astroneer, and why I think they should be added. You can find the list of implementations below. (Updated every +3 hours of play time. I have 9h on log.) TOPIC 1 - Base Creation: The first, and major thing I want to talk about is base creation. The way it is setup is decent but sometimes I just feel something is out of place, but I can't change anything. Please implement some sort of system to modify or delete base objects and vehicles. Many youtubers have done this, time and time again (Including me.). If I make a rover, and find the research for a truck, I want to be able to get rid of the rover or disassemble it in some way. Having a ton of vehicles just causes lag. TOPIC 2 - Weather: Another topic I want to talk about is the weather. I really like how much the planets differ in the solar system. Tundra for example, is very different and has some snow, unlike all of the other planets I have travelled to so far. A big thing that is missing is the weather, all of the planets differ but the weather is the same on all of them. I feel like the tundra should have snow storms instead of sand storms, and occasionally have rain on Terran. This would add much more depth to the game in my perspective. TOPIC 3 - Management: Ah, Management. So glorious, yet some games lack it. A major thing that many people have recommended, and I will too, is the ability to name saves, and delete them without having to leave the main menu or scavenge for your save file in %appdata% or something. Its very simple compared to other requests (Complete rebalancing, new planets, etc.). TOPIC 4 - Frequency of Updates & Expectations: I have very high expectations for this game, so don't let me down devs. Its amazing how only 6 people can create such great games. Though its been great so far, I worry about the expectations on updates considering there are only 6 people working on it. I love it so far, even if these don't get into the game its still amazing, so thanks for making this a great game. If you are reading this devs, then hello and have a good day.
