I've been corresponding with someone at SystemEra support about this. So far, the only thing that has worked has been both reverting to a previous build of Windows 10 from before the 4/24 update and reinstalling the game. Since doing that I've probably gotten in a few hours without any of the same bug (though I did get a BSOD that may be unrelated). If you're seeing this issue too, I'd try:
1) Uninstall and reinstall the game, then see if you keep getting this error.
