    1.0.13.0 - Steam - Crash without error

I think hardware is not the issue here, as I am on a laptop (ASUS FX504) with Intel® Core™ i5 8300H Processor Intel® HM370 Express Chipset 8GB DDR4 2666MHz SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, with 6GB GDDR5 VRAM 1TB 5400RPM SATA HDD (on which the game is stored) I usually play only windowed, 1600x900 on a 1920x1080 resolution with 125% scaling on Windows 10, because I switch between tasks. Rarely playing any game full screen. The game crashes also when not focused, so it's not ideal for switching tasks, leaving it running, at this time.

    1.0.13.0 - Steam - Crash without error

I just wanted to add that I am in the same Steam boat. However, crashes only started to happen after I left to another planet. While I was still on the same planet as in the save file pre-1.0.13.0, those crashes didn't occur. As soon as I landed on another planet in 1.0.13.0 however, I experienced the same crashes to desktop without any notice. Three crashes total so far, after about 30 minutes playtime, which made me give up for now. I never experienced any crash before this, as the game was 100% stable on my system.
  3. Unfortunately I don't have footage of this bug, because it came very quick and unexpected. I was stuck with my large rover and wanted to get out to flatten the terrain in the underground caves a bit. Instead, I was quickly lifted through the wall all the way up and through the layer to the surface of the planet, and further up in the sky, so that my landing was fatal. If I find my body on the surface, I know where my rover is, one layer down, at least.
  4. Currently, if you have enough Scrap attached to the Trade Platform, it shows as white resource icon in the panel (F)., insufficient Scrap shows as pink resource icon. However, the Trade Platform is currently only operated manually and has no automatic pull/stow functionality. My idea would be a 'Touch Display'. Provided there is enough Scrap on storage, there could be a grey icon, which, upon touch, turns white and pulls the Scrap automatically. You could then just click on the desired amount possible, between 1..8, depending on resource, and Scrap gets pulled and stowed based on the quantity desired. Furthermore, retrieved resources should be stowed as well, if spots are available, or, as-is, ejected if there is no room available.
  5. One thing worthy to mention is that the bug might be related to different versions of the game. I just tested and can confirm that a new world doesn't have issues with large rovers and drills mounted to them. It appears that older worlds seem to have issues with drills on vehicles only. For the bug to appear it doesn't matter which drill strength or vehicle is used, but apparently when the world was created (or in what version it was created).
  6. https://drive.google.com/file/d/17cyJFEhQs6oRKtLAHTQr_5Q7FDERjOmO/view?usp=sharing I captured the bug on video, so you can see what is going on. Short description: Starting the drill at any angle causes the vehicle to sink into the ground as soon as the drill is touching terrain. That will stop the vehicle immediately and prevents you from going any further, hence the vehicle is currently useless to collect soil and is even unable to drill to the core. I am using Steam version of the game at 1.09, Drill 3 on a large rover, but the tractor does the same.
  7. I am reporting this as I only experienced this behavior with ASTRONEER, and no other games so far. I have a laptop running at 1920x1080 with 125% text scale on Windows 10, since the display is smaller (default setting). I also use an external 27" monitor, running at 1920x1080 but at 100% scale. Since the laptop is my main device/display, the game applies that scaling, I suppose. When I drag the game in windowed mode to my regular display, it appears smaller than 1920x1080. Again, this doesn't happen with any other games I know, as they maintain the actual width and height of the game window, no matter of what the text scaling is set to. The issue is fixed however, if you change resolution in-game "after" loading your game. If you change it before loading a game, the scaling will reset again after loading a game, resulting in a small window.
  8. I am a relatively new player. I just joined Astroneer when it was already past 1.0 a few couple of weeks back. However, I love the game and put many hours into it already. At this point, I unlocked all blueprints and I don't see how Bytes are useful anymore, or research in general, so I simply skip the research building in my base building process entirely. I'd find it wonderful if you could collect all the research samples in a 'research index', a section per planet, which you could call up, or see in the menu, and complete them all. That would give completionists the opportunity to hunt down every sample on each planet, even way beyond the use of Bytes. Furthermore, to make Bytes useful beyond unlocking blueprints, why not include a very expensive upgrade to the trade station, or a new 'digital trade station', that'll accept Bytes in return for resources. Some price balancing necessary, of course, to value each resource accordingly. Or, to keep Bytes at research, maybe after continued research of n times of same sample types, it would unlock the ability to extract resources from organic, mineral and technology samples. We could then use Bytes to buy/improve extraction tools, making it more effective over time, hence resulting in more quantity of the extracted resource. Just an idea that came to my mind while playing.
