Well they don't get inspired from their content but they get inspired how Fortnite manages to keep its fanbase active by keeping the hype, and how they mange bugs by fixing it with updates every 2 weeks at least, how they try and use different strategies, like they did with Fortnite Chapter 2 instead of giving it Fortnite season 11, this not only gave Fortnite it a better image but it also gave a boost to Fortnite. Also if you wanted one thing similar between Fortnite and Astroneer is they use the same engine, Unreal engine.Am I wrong? Idk why everyone keeps hating such a beautiful game like Fortnite. There is a lot to learn from everything. If I was a dev of Astroneer I would look for ideas and inspiration from Subnautica, Osiris New Dawn, Surviving mars, Minecraft (Adam mentioned it anyways), Kerbal space program. You got any more space exploration survival games? (I had to copy this from another post)

Well you do have a point not gonna lie, emotes are one thing they might have got from Fortnite, if I was a dev of Astroneer I would look for ideas and inspiration from Subnautica, Osiris New Dawn, Surviving mars, Minecraft (Adam mentioned it anyways), Kerbal space program. You got any more space exploration survival games?
  3. Yes they either gotta make finding lithium harder/rarer or reduce the size of deposits, honestly when you find lithium you can fill at least 2 silos.

  6. Holy shit, have you tried counting how many of them are there? Even I had this type of bug where the broken platforms were doubled on top of each other and I was lucky since the resource or whatever item on top of it also doubles, try going inside those satellites get the resources out of it and destroy it using the dynamite.

  8. Well yes but actually no, the physics are not that simple too, rover physics are quite complicated but water for some reason doesn't feel like it would fit well with astroneer. How would liquids act in astroneer? I have no idea, but yes ,it will create many bugs if not done correctly.

You could have just copy pasted it here, let me do that for you, here is what he/she posted---> It would be great to have the possibility to modify the functionality of a gateway based on the mod attached to it. Here's some ideas: Teleport object instead of player (only for surface Nodes) (inspired by u/Dragongamer2280 the mod should cost a lot of bytes (something near to the end game stuff like the portable oxygenator) and use some very rare material like the astronium. There could be different tiers to either increase the amount of objects transportable, for example tier 1 can only transport small items, tier 2 medium and large items, tier 3 extra large items, or can increase the range of teleportation, for example tier 1 from surface nodes to the core node, tier 2 from any node to the satellite, tier 3 to any other tier 3 node. Resource finder (only for surface Nodes) : if any player enters the modded gateway, instead of being able to teleport, the player can select a resource on the planet and find the nearest resource field. Again this can come with different tiers: tier 1 short range (for example 10% of the planet surface with a circle area centered on the gateway) , tier 2 the area is the entire surface, tier 3 the entire planet (from the core to the surface) Power Generator (only for Surface nodes) : the modded gateway becomes a power node and instead of being able to teleport to/from it, the node produces a certain amount of energy (based on the difficulty of the planet and its size) that can be transmitted to any point on the surface of that planet. To use the energy produced, the player has to research and create a sort of radar to acquire the power. (Fun mod) Self destruction (only for core nodes): this mod will enable the self destruction of the planet and will leave only the core node and the pillars coming from it. As building material i would use the exploding powder that is mixed inside the chemical lab with the cube obtained from the planet that you want to destruct. This could be like an alternative scenario to complete the game where you don't have to activate all the planets, but you have to destroy all of them because they are infected with some kind of virus and you have to protect the galaxy from the spreading infection (for example Atrox could be the cause of the infection that is spreading to the other planets). Atmospheric Enhancer (only for surface Nodes): This mod will increase the quantity of gas present in the atmosphere thus increasing the amount of gas gathered by the atmospheric condenser. This could be quite usefull on atrox ofc. When the mod is attached the player cannot teleport to the gateway. Since this mod could be too powerful, it could be active only for a short amount of time (like only during daylight or nightime or making it as a consumable) Reshape Planet (only for core nodes): this mod will reset the planet (destroying your base if present) and rerolls all the resources, debris, capsules and so on, just like a hard reset and cannot be used on sylva, since your first base is there. When the player activates this mod, it will be sent to the sylva base. I think that the gateways should be used more during a playthrough of astroneer, in fact after they are activated, they are pretty much ignored. Also players tend to ignore all the surface nodes and just activate one surface node and the core, thus ignoring all the rest. if you come up with some other ideas feel free to comment down below
  11. +100, welcome back and awesome job on the video ,again. I like your idea, it should have a slot below it where we can attach the drill so that the elevator can drill its way into the ground. This item can make travelling to the core so much easier, this item has a lot of potential, awesome idea
  12. Cool idea, +1, or at least they should give us an option to set filters to storages so that they can only be filled with the resources we want.

  14. All we know is that the game isn't fully completed yet, the story is still missing the main part, so I guess we can hope for something as you have suggested.

  16. Yes it does, but I guess people forget about it since it is easier to gather lithium than to make nano carbon alloy.
  17. I wish we could have used the probe scanner for finding our way back home, but idk they might give more purpose to the scanner in the future updates.

I can agree with some of your points @The Touch of Grey Gamer, but not all, the main reason why the devs post leeks is to make sure the fanbase is kept eagerly waiting on their toes for the next update ,this also ensure that the fanbase is not bored, you know they have something to wait for new stuff and I think it works pretty well, especially on me.It gives the players a feeling that they have a connection with the devs ,and I think the devs interacting with players by teasing the players using leeks can be a good strategy to keep the fanbase active.
  19. Oh I see, have you completed the game? Because there is actually a thing like that, are you sure you finished the wanderer adventure? using the probe scanner to search and find the probes? You can unlock the wanderer suit and the colours for it by doing the above. Is this similar to your idea?   20. Actually that's a great question ,what the advantage of having 2 pavers instead of 1? Does it pave a wider path? IDK ,I should have tried it out. Also isn't the slot on top of the paver for putting a mod? If not, then what is the slot on top of the paver for? I like your suggestion, +1, I hope they will add these stuff in the game as soon as possible. (Hello from India )
  21. Yes Astroneer runs in 3rd person but in Subnautica is 1st person and the player can see the beacons because of the HUD in the visor.
  22. And the only present item that can fit your suggestion would be Astronium, it still has no purpose in the game.
