SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Astroneer Pre-Alpha\Astro\Saved\Config and delete your GameUserSettings.ini file. Is not the place where the GameUserSettings.ini file is as far as i know it is in. C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Local\Astro\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

    0.3.265.99 Experimental - Bugs a plenty

Biggest game breaker - going to the options menu when in-game drops frame rate to less than 1fps, resolved by quitting out to main menu. Repeatable Fix by starting the game like this in steam (may not fix it for you but give it a try) Tethers in back pack sometimes render as a grey block. Intermittent Bug that is fix in main branch Lot's of sound cues and environmental sounds (like storm) missing, lots. The know about that the fix it for the main branch but did not have enough time to make that in the experimental branch Also, when you quit out, Astro and Astro.exe processes remain running That is also a know bug in the experimental branch but is not there in the main branch as far as i know If you want to chat about it better join us on discord.gg/astroneer

FPS Crush when opening options menu

The game runs in windows full-screen mode if you start it with steam in just windows mode it will also fix the fps drop in a way yes
  5. Solution (1 This is the easy solution when you open ASTRONEER you get this windows click on ASTRONEER Windowed (like in photo) and than click on PLAY However if Solution 1 is not working for you can try Solution 2. Solution (2 (This solution is a bit harder to do) Open your File Explorer copy this "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Astro\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" and past it in your search bar in File Explorer. Like this Note: Make sure you type your own "username" so if your username is "Buddy" you do this. If you have done that you will see this. Now double click on GameUserSettings you will get this. Now you need to search for FullscreenMode=1 if you found it chance the 1 into a 2. Note: If FullscreenMode=2 is already there, delete all the config-files in this folder. Start the game to make new config-files and than shutdown the game and than repeat Solution (2 If both solutions did not work for you I'm sorry but you must wait on a update that will fix it. Note: This will most likely not fix the save-game load crash. (we where not able to test this) Credit: To MrSpicyWeiner for helping troubleshooting
