Base Building QOL Changes & More

I don't have any likes left for today, but I totally agree!

    That will be awesome!

    Suggestion to Change Vehicle Controls

Totally agree! It's especially difficult to attach vehicles together because you can't look behind you and reliably drive at the same time.
  4. I really like the idea of different difficulty levels. I'd especially like the perma-death option. I've been playing Don't Starve recently, and when you have a game that is so simplistic in its goal -just survive - having such an extreme consequence for failing that goal makes a lot of sense.
  5. Actually, the flatten works really well for building ramps, since it uses whatever angle you start it on. Start at the angle you want for your ramp, and go slowly outward, and it will make the terrain at that angle. I've used it a lot for making it easier to get in and out of steep parts of caves.

    Lose Tethers to Backpack

After an outlying area has been mined out, or I want to go in a different direction, I usually try to pick up my tethers as I leave so I can use them elsewhere. I encountered several problems when trying to do so: When I pick up a tether and click on myself, it will put the tether in the first fully empty backpack slot (even if there is a slot of tethers with space in it). Doing so again will put it in that same new slot, but it seems it should put any tether into the first slot that has other tethers in it, but still has room. If I continue to put tethers in my backpack in this way (click on tether, click on my astroneer without opening the backpack), it will fill up that one slot forever. Even when that slot is full of tethers. It never puts them in a new slot. If a tether is placed into a tether slot that is full, that tether simply disappears. It should either not be put in at all (with an appropriate error sound or something), or should automatically go into another available backpack slot.
  7. So, I had made a hole in my base to hold my gathered resources (didn't have the ability to create the storage racks at that point), and decided to fill it in. I used the terrain tool *under* the resources, and at first they came up with it. But then, before I could react, the terrain tool slipped past them and buried them! No problem, I thought, I'll just dig them up again. Imagine my surprise and discouragement when I dug in exactly the same place, and there was nothing there! I lost my initial bits of copper and aluminum that I'd found from wrecks, and had to get more the hard way (explore, find ore, build smelter, smelt ore). My bad for covering them up, but definitely seemed odd that they just disappeared as a result.

Ground bug + Tether disconnecting random

I thought so at first too. However, this sometimes will happen just from one minute to the next - no storms or any other indication as to why. I just have to move one just an inch or two, and they're all connected again. I'm pretty convinced it's a bug at this point.
  9. This happened to me as well. Oddly, I didn't die or anything, eventually it put be back above the terrain (right where I was), so no harm no foul for me. Windows 10 PC.

    Tether Overall Glitchyness

Same here. The tethers sometimes will break just from one minute to the next - no storms or any other indication as to why. I just have to move one just an inch or two, and they're all connected again. I'm on PC.
