  1. They've spoken about having astro customisation in a couple of their vlogs. We'll see it eventually in some form!
  2. Im a simple man. I see a topic titled Gene Memes you know i'm gonna click on it also, has anyone else thought that Gene looks like Daniel Hardcastle aka Nerdcubed?? Like, without hair though obviously lol. https://www.google.es/search?q=daniel+hardcastle+nerdcubed&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjKns2ylqDVAhVGlxQKHfnyDbkQ_AUICygC&biw=1706&bih=826
  3. I can't tell you how I did this but I crafted a small solar, and my backpack must've been full because it placed it at my feet, BUT, it appeared around me and I was stuck inside. I managed to start capturing after the glitch happened, check it out: (hopefully that tweet link works)
  4. Hey guys, just started a fresh save on the new update. I made a load of tethers, and some of them appear upside down occasionally: I'm not sure if this has anything to do with me trying out the new emotes at the same time, I couldn't replicate this consistently unfortunately so you'll have to do a bit of digging. p.s. Gene the new emotes are so so good, I love pyjamas Astro even more now!
  5. Do you need to start a new save in order for the patch to have its full effect? Edit: Just saw Wyvrias said yes to someone else lol.
  6. I found this particularly noticeable on green underground terrain. When you dig, a bit of green smoke comes out (i think it's toxic but I haven't tested!) If you put away the terrain tool, the smoke/ dust disappears with it, and reappears if you get the tool out again before it fades naturally. Just a small bug lol, noticed it today.
  7. I like the idea of it having one double slot, so you could put either a large battery, or a solar panel/ wind turbine there. I think we're getting somewhere!
  8. loool I confused myself, sorry! That's right! I don't want to build a 'full' base for every cave. I dont know, maybe I just have an aversion to building more habitats lol. I feel like I should only build one or two on each planet, like they are the 'main' bases to me.
  9. Oh I never thought about using ice as a consumable! That's kinda cool... lol forgive that unintentional pun. >.< my idea isn't a generator that you take with you, it's something you place down, probably near the entrance of a cave to serve as an outpost kind of thing from which you can put down a more permanent tether system. Like the other guy said, you could do this with a rover, but I think it would be cool to be able to put in somewhat more permanent infrastructure in caves
  10. No worries ;P I don't know, there wouldn't be any difference than having a rover really, but I think it would be cool to have a more permanent system of providing infrastructure to a cave than parking rovers near the entrance lol. An important part of it should be energy generation, so you could build a solar panel array outside the mine entrance, join that to the generator and then create the usual chain of tethers inside the cave. Kind of like a mini-base. Though, I suppose you could just build other bases for this sort of thing lol...
  11. Thank you for your condescension Of course I know the rover provides that function, but for creating a more permanent mine system, wouldn't you think it'd be nicer to have some kind of infrastructure? Like how they're adding the worklights which you can place anywhere, having kind of checkpoints for your astro underground would make caving more sustainable. Especially seeing as they mentioned in the stream that they weren't happy with how caves just provide oxygen and power in the walls almost everywhere you go.
  12. I was just watching the stream and they were talking about improving cave exploration, particularly when it comes to oxygen and power consumption. This gave me the idea of being able to place down a generator, which you can connect to whatever power generation method you need. The generator could make oxygen or do a kind of slow burn on energy to keep you going. Maybe this is a slightly convoluted method of generating power, so maybe it should just be a way of generating oxygen? I just think it could be a cool way of creating an outpost/ gateway type thing for caves that you visit frequen
  13. I found you have to set your screen resolution to the desired game resolution. I have a 4K screen but cant quite handle 4K so have to set my actual display size to 1080p before changing game settings to match.
