  3. Someone name "Chunlago" or Chunlango"? Did know you could randomly join multiplayer. Well, whoever you are, my game crashed shortly after you joined Sorry! I didn't leave you on purpose!
  4. Just kidding. With all the bug reports pouring in, the Devs seem to have done a pretty amazing job of hearing us and trying to resolve our issues. I know there are some bugs still out there but I just want to say thanks. You guys are doing a bang up job and I know there are a bunch of us out there who appreciate what you guys are doing. Also, thanks to all the random guys who have found work arounds, posted crash dumps and helped figure out issues while the devs are working on patches. You've all made a huge difference.

    Configuration to improve FPS

Yeah man, And I kept your little write up in my Engine.ini file as well so I'm sure that's helped. Ive also been able to help several people over on the Steam forums with what you put together. So thanks for that man.
  6. After 25-30 minutes of near perfect performance (no more crappy FPS, thank you for patching that up), game freezes up on me. Sound is still playing, I can still move my mouse, but doesnt seem to matter how long I wait, it aint coming back. Eventually just end through task manager. Did a little digging on the forums and I see alot of people are experiencing this. Has anyone found a work around yet? For now Im just saving every time I return to base for any little thing and reloading as needed, but obviously, its getting tedious.

Can I wait it out and expect it to unfreeze or is it a lost cause?

    Configuration to improve FPS

Interesting. I went back into steam and saw that Astroneer had an update. Downloaded it, started a new game and now Im about 30 min into a game with a consistent 60-70 FPS. (Sometimes it drops but never for long).

Yeah, I have no doubt theyre working hard on it and will get it fixed. Its just frustrating.

    Configuration to improve FPS

Alright, so I added [/Script/Astro.ScalabilitySettings] (DecoratorLODDistanceScale=160.000000,ViewDistanceQuality=Medium,TextureQuality=High,ShadowQuality=Low,EffectsQuality=Medium,FoliageQuality=Medium,AntiAliasingQuality=High,PostProcessQuality=High) to the Game.ini In addition to your suggestion at the top to Engine.ini, in addition to being in Beta build. | I get 117 FPS standing still and an FPS of about 15 when I move, making still pretty much unplayable. Looks like Ill just have to wait until they optimize it : /

Yep tried this with both the regular build and Beta and got not a single frame rate of improvement in either. Really glad this worked for you and I hope it does for others. For me, not so much.

    Configuration to improve FPS

Is this any different from Space Engineers? I know you can at least see the planets in the distance on SE and there are no frame rate issues there.

    Configuration to improve FPS

I applied the config with the game not running. I did, however, load up an existing game (which had all of 10 minutes of play time), but I will start a brand new game and report back.
