True Flat - Temp Visible Grid

Must be why they've made it a feature of the game! lol
  2. I mentioned this to Marc when Creative first came out to us. The slider controls in the "R" menu are difficult to adjust to a specific number or setting. Please allow control of the sliders to be accomplished using arrow keys, much like the sliders for Audio, etc. Marc told me that was something that had not been mentioned yet at the time. Hugs SES!
  3. Those who know me know i have a thing for True Flat and I'm so jazzed to see it make its comeback. I know tools are being developed to make it easier for peeps to accomplish. Thinking about that, what if there was way to allow temporary visibility of the grid? Then peeps could find the areas of the planet True Flat will work on properly, in order that it snaps and can be built with. You can smooth a surface pretty much anywhere, but building has to be lined up to the grid. My idea comes from Terraria building tools that allow the grid to be shown so you can measure and build accordingly. I realize that is a very different style of game, but I wondered if something similar could be developed or revealed if it is possible, to make it easier to find a "flat" location to build from. The first step in allowing people to do this more easily, is to help find a location it will work with. I think something along these lines solves that problem. Thanks as always for listening SES! Hugs to all!
  4. I had trouble with them on a rover as well, it seems the rover also draws power from the RTGs. Try either putting them on trailers, disconnected from the rover, or put them on a platform.

Planet Stops Spinning, Stuck in Night

Just tried sending the save file to a friend, and it worked for them. They saved and sent it back, and it still doesn't work for me. I tried another saved game and it was fine. It's just this particular save that is broken and only for me now. No one else was in the game with me when this happened.

Solar System frozen. No rotation, no orbit

This has happened to me too now. I just posted about it. I'll include my save if they ask for it.
  10. Summary: 0.10.2 Planet stops spinning, stars no longer move, stuck in night. Description: I had returned in a large shuttle from Exotic daylight to Terran. It was night, and after a few minutes I noticed night wasn't turning to day, the star band wasn't moving. To make matters worse I had saved the game. Upon return, the issue didn't clear and still remains. Platform: Steam Version / Build Number: 0.10.2 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 | v. 1803 | Build 17134.345 CPU: Intel i7 6700K 4GHz GPU: EVGA 1080 FTW RAM: G.Skill 4x8GB DDR4 2666Hz Drive: WDC WD2003FZEX-00SRLA0
  11. I enjoy very much the randomness at which one lands on the planet at the start of each new game, but occasionally that landing point is impossible to play around. Sometimes trees are placed in the base, or so close it interferes with the camera, and I find I have to quit to main to "re-roll" a decent landing spot. Initially my idea was to allow us to choose our own spot, but then there is some challenge in trying to build around obstacles. What if during your first play-through you gained enough "science" that you could be awarded an achievement for subsequent games to find your own preferred landing spot? I like the idea of being able to work up to something like that.

    Dump Truck

I think we need a dump truck module for the rover to haul debris for scrapping.

    0.5.1 Graphics are laggy

So with some help of peeps in Discord, I verified my files...they were good, nothing to replace. I was advised to make astro.exe high priority, did that. I started new instances and tried it out. Windowed was much better. Fullscreen still a touch on the slower side, but it was a bit better. Still it feels like something is very different.

    0.5.1 Graphics are laggy

Summary: 0.5.1 Graphics are laggy, choppy, and crashed once. Description: Graphics have taken a performance hit in this patch.. Platform: Steam Version / Build Number: 0.5.1 Specifications: OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 | v. 1709 | Build 16299.192 CPU: Intel i7 6700K 4.00GHz GPU: EVGA 1080 FTW 8GB RAM: G. Skill 4x8GB DDR4 2666Hz Drive: Western Digital Black Series SATA 2TB I immediately noticed there is no longer support for 3440 x 1440. 2560x1440 is the highest supported res now. I began playing the new patch in full screen mode at that resolution. As I was playing maybe about 30 minutes, graphics started to slow down, there was lag, and then everything just stopped. I had to end it via task manager. I tried again in windowed mode, and the game wouldn't line up correctly. I shut it off at this point. The next night I tried again, playing in windowed mode from the start, and dropped everything to high instead of a mix of ultra & high. The game ran, but not smoothly, and I didn't crash. The same behavior occurred, laggy graphics after a while. This is the first time I've had any issue with the graphics in the game, and have been playing since last March. All my drivers are updated, and the only thing running aside from the game was Steam & Discord.
