    Astroneer Gear

Yeah I bought the orange Lander Crew hoodie last year, and I love it! The decals are really clear and bright, they don't fade in the wash, and the material is soft and good quality. It's a lightweight zip-up rather than a traditional "heavy" hoodie, but it's still insulating, and great for throwing on in the evenings or on a cold day around the house. The hood is a good size and so are the pockets (you can properly bury your hands in them), and the sleeves have thumb holes!! Personal favourite feature there ? Hope this helps!

    E3 Astroneer Discussion?!!

It looks to me like it's some sort of alien tech that crash lands and becomes a different source of power for the Astroneer if you can figure it out!

    world gaps

What I tend to do is just avoid them, or use the terrain tool to flatten the ground and get rid of the crack. I think it's just a texture bug, it should be fixed soon! (Also sidenote: that is perhaps the coolest screenshot I think I've ever seen?? like hang it up in the Louvre wow)

Astro Royale Update: April 1, 2019

The real April fools is that this is all legit, the 2019 wasn't a typo at all, and this is an actual project that will go live on the first of April next year. Good job on the dream team of voice actors, SES!

    "Patch 0.5.1" - January 18th, 2018

I think they mean if a player isn't using any wind turbines, the game doesn't needlessly generate all these extra effects, so it cuts down on RAM. The same way tethers "disappear" when you're not looking at them, I'd assume.

    "Patch 0.5.1" - January 18th, 2018

I have never wanted to blow off study in an exam year and leave for home immediately, suffer though an hour-long journey, brave the biohazardous environment that is the public transport system this time of year, just to sit down and play Astroneer for hours on end, more than I do right now.

    "Research Update" - December 18th, 2017

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually love the magenta on blue interface, it really gives it a retro feel!

    Astroneer Birthday Cake ?

thanks! it actually tasted pretty epic (if I do say so myself)!
  14. So Astroneer came out just over a year ago (give or take a day) and I decided to mark the occasion by making a cake for what has quickly evolved into my favourite game! I technically did start making it on the 16th, but my friend and I only finished the icing at 2am on the 17th (oops). The top icing is modeled after the surface of Terran, and the inside is dyed to imitate the colours of the caves! I wanted to make a gluten-free cake since my sister is celiac, so the final flavour is almond and apple (and yes, there are pieces of popping candy on the headlamps of the helmet). Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it!

    #SpaceSnails community contributions

I feel like SpaceSnails could be benign creatures that grow as you feed them, but not as a pet? More as a stray animal, or kindred soul that slimes over your base every so often and leaves the module unusable for a day or so (in-game, not IRL). I have this vision of being able to ride them too, not in the sense of attatching a rover, but more along the lines of the Astroneer alone hopping on its back and going on an adventure! Spontaneous exploration, that sorta thing. The whole "die without oxygen" thing is a wrench in the gears, but maybe there will be larger reserve oxygen tanks (for long walks - perhaps a square node taking up four slots in the backpack) in the future, or some sort of organic/chemical reaction that provides the snails with their own oxygen supply, like the rovers have. Just a thought! ?
