    Modular Habitat Idea

    Hey guys! We just picked up Astroneer a few days ago on Steam early access and love it. I have experience with 3D modeling, and have modded for Minecraft and Cities: Skylines. I came up with an idea for building housing in Astroneer using simple modules and a "pressurization" system that is easy to understand. I'm sure the devs are already working on something like this, but I whipped it up in just a few hours so I thought I'd share it to see what people thought!

    Rails for Deep Caves and Transport

    Someone else had the idea to have droids/drones. I thought perhaps you could put resources (or an artifact) on a drone and send it back to your base. Perhaps you could link them together so others would follow a leader, and then send them all back in a droid train. You could even avoid potential AI and pathing issues by having the droids only follow a tether path if you wanted them to "go home."

    You could command it to go home, so you could put resources on it and send it back to your hab. You could swap controls with it, so you could pilot it remotely for a short distance, perhaps to scout dangerous areas. It could hold an artifact, so you could bring back two at once.

    This could be a way to decrease entity count in the world as well. You insert an item into a silo, and it will hold X of that item, but just store it as a value instead of literally X number of entities.
